About My Career

 Carver Tripp, Master Jeweler, Designer

1972-1979,  I spent my early years as a modelmaker in the jewelry centers of Providence, Rhode Island, where I apprenticed under the guidance of master model makers, learned the skills of modelmaking, casting and plating. These folks were highly skilled and nurtured in me a good work ethic, passed along skills that I still rely on to this day. I won an award in 1972 from R.I. School of Design for 3D modeling.

1979-1980,  I left Providence to further my education in London, England at the Sir John Cass School of Art, City of London Polytechnic. There I studied fabricating in "hard metals", casting gold and silver and jewelry design.

1980-1984,  Returned to Providence and  taught jewelry making at the Jewelry Institute and began work as a freelance jeweler and designer.

1984-Present,  Moved to California and set up shop in San Diego as a jeweler, where in 1995 took "first place in three categories, in the design competition at the annual San Diego Fair in Del Mar.

I've been serving the San Diego area since 1984 making fine custom jewelry. In my spare time I've built three custom Hawken rifles.
